Hey,
Great idea, bring it to Hershey but not to part out, just so we can get a really good look at it. In fact everyone and anyone should get their butts to Hershey. It's not to be missed!! It's one of the best events you'll attend all year, if not THE best. Central PA PCA member since '87 |

Okay, spent some time with the car today. It does have a sunroof. All power features work, sunroof, windows, lights and gauges etc., Did not turn it over yet.
Hershey might be an option. Also my apologies for putting this in classifieds, I knew the post would get more exposure here.

911
the price for lucking into a barn find like this is not parting it out.this is a rare one if real, and if not real,it's still a real 911.the green/green color scheme sounds awful, but it's got to be factory-who else would choose that?i bet when you get it sorted out, you'll wanna sell the 82.i've had sc's,but my current fave is my 77 2.7s.just more pure porsche.

Update:
The color code reads 265-9-3 which is identified as Oak Green Metallic. Ran the Vin# and it comes back as a real Carrera 3.0. Great News! If I decide to keep it, I would like scrap the green interior, would this kill the originality? Is this what makes the car rare or rarer? Anyone interested in a freshly painted 82 roller with 42K on the OD?

Keep the car and restore it. DO NOT scrap the green interior if it is original to the car. Or better said do not change the color. If the interior is in good shape, do not restore. Originality trumps all...
My penny and a half.

So far the interior looks fair, normal wear and tear. The drivers seat needs work as does the dash, headliner(yellowing) and door pockets, the "usual suspects".
Have no fear purist, it will stay whole. Already made the paint appointment. Dang, was serious about the 82 roller plus other do dads, that thread will appear this weekend.

77 3.0 Carrera is certainly a
greymarket import just the oddball color combo should tell you that .. Worth keeping it's one we didn't see very often,Bert |
