Pelican Parts Forums - FS: Bilstein Inserts, revalved by Steve Weiner

I had these revalved by Steve Weiner for my race car. I used them for the end of one season (about 5 track days) along with JRZ shocks on the rear, since I couldn't afford JRZs at both ends at the same time. Subsequently I replaced my front Bilstein struts with the JRZ struts. Amazingly, I didn't notice much difference between the Bilsteins with these inserts and the (very expensive) JRZs in terms of lap times...

These are revalved by Bilstein to Steve's specifications. The actual valving is Steve's "secret formula", although I imagine that the valving is not too different from what you would get if you were to ask Elephant Racing or another company to supply you with revalved inserts for a race car like mine. My car is a 1982 911SC race car set up for PCA club racing (stock class). It has 23 mm torsion bars in the front and weighs about 2500 lbs without driver.

These are an excellent setup for the front of a 911 race car that is equipped with Bilstein struts.

I paid $175 in labor to have them revalved, plus the cost of shipping and the donor inserts.
