Anyone know if Vintage Seats went out???

I put a large deposit on a pair of Vintage Seats when I went to the lit. meet in February, and now I'm not getting any of my emails or calls returned. Does anyone know him or know what happened?

Michael was still in business when I saw him in May. Have heard nothing to the contrary since.

I am quite certain michael is still operating. Every time I send him an e-mail, I get an error message. I am with comcast, so I am guessing you are as well? It is a very strange issue.

I have been trying to get hold of them and left several voicemails and emails but never returned any of my calls.

Ha. I told Michael that the RGruppe site was IP banning me because I am on Comcast. He said no. Looks like his business is getting fudked by his hosting company, as well.

No error message with emails and definitely his voice mail I'm leaving messages on. I'm getting the feeling I may be getting burned.

Michael is very much in business and he is an excellent communicator. I will text him tomorrow and direct him to this thread. It is not his practice to leave someone hanging; that's not how he rolls.

Nick

Michael is a friend of mine and I've also ordered 2 pairs of seats from him. Top notch service and he absolutely is not out of business. He may be traveling? Don't worry, he'll get back to you as soon as he can.

You will never get burned by Michael. He is a stand up guy. He is likely traveling at the moment, as he does very often.

He seemed like a stand up guy when I met him. That's why I bought from him. It's been numerous messages over the past couple weeks with no reply...that's why I'm getting nervous.

+1. I've got vintage seats, and yes, michael is a friend and I'm a satisfied customer.

I do know he suffered a massive hard drive crash in the past week and suffering thru getting stuff back up and running.

If he is running a business, he could or have someone at least return calls, just saying. I have been trying to hear back from Vintage Seats for at least 3 weeks and that is no courtesy.

Ordered in February and no seats or contact?

How can you guys continue to defend this practice? What was the stated lead time? How long should you wait? Six month? A year? More? How is this acceptable?

the internet is a dangerous place to speculate. My theory is there are two sides to every story. I'm sure we've all done searches for the best product online and found one guy who doesn't agree with everyone else. I'd even think motor meister gets one positive review out of the millions of dissatisfied customers (or attempted customers)

Steve,

I have left you a voicemail this morning. I left you my cell number to call me on.
As some have stated I had a big Hard drive failure and it took some time to get the data extracted and I did end up loosing some information.

Thanks,

Michael

Hi,

Not sure who you are with that handle, but if you provide me your number or you can email me at sales at vintageseats dot com (using @ and . ) i'll be happy to help you. I'm prompt at email replies and telephone calls.

Thanks,

Michael

In any comfort to your nerves, I've worked with three of the "top" Porsche interior names. In the end, all have came out with great products but the wait has varied tremendously. I have seen 4 months on custom seats to almost 10 months for custom full Alcantara interior. Autobahn Interiors, if by luck or not was the only one that had products to my door in less than a month.

I'd still be getting nervous myself in this economy, but might not be justified to freak yet. BOL

Looks like life is good and a proper response/contact made....nice to see resolution and that a good vendor is still alive

I think your statement is way overboard. I have been in contact with this customer since his order. His order wasn't done in February anyway. I didn't even know Steve in February.

Steve and I had been in communication since his order. There is a delay on some materials and he was told of that.

Thanks,

Michael

Steve, my emails to you have my cell phone number on my signature file.
Use that number to get a hold of me. You never called it. It's the number to use if you need to call me. Please read my last email correspondence to you about waiting for your fabric (mid May)

Like I mentioned in my first response, I have left you a voicemail. Call me when you have a chance.

Thanks,

Michael

Steve et al.
First and foremost, Michael is an upstanding member of the community, our Porsche community, he is a true enthusiast and business man that has been able to put his car passion into Vintage Seats.

Second, what you are posting is coming across as inflammatory and it is immortalized for the ages on this forum.
Rather than posting assumptions on a public forum, I'd suggest you work with Michael offline to clear up whatever misunderstanding exists here.
As a follow up, I'd also encourage you to either post your resolution on this thread, or delete the thread altogether. It would be a shame for someone to stumble on this thread and get the wrong impression, thus hurting an honest business.

(I have no affiliation with Vintage Seats)
