FS Fuchs 15 x 6 complete set
*SOLD***posted better pics down-thread****They are dirty and will get cleaned this week when I swap out my wides. All stock, excellent shape with zero curbs or scratches. They are the stock wheels from my 1976 911s project. Look chromed but I thinks it's just bright polished. They can include the Pirelli tires if you would like. Which have 95 percent tread. However, they have been sitting for 14 years ( on blocks in a climate controlled garage ).
$2000 OBO includes shipping in CONUS. Thanks ![]() Last edited by Tbone425; 06-08-2014 at 06:19 PM.. Reason: Pricing update |

From what I've read recently in the tech forum, if all 4 of those wheels are as good as this one, you're price is right on - perhaps even a little low. Yes, those are bright anodized by the way. Very nice looking wheels.

These are $1500 wheels in my opinion, they are basically cores that need to be refinished for the $3000 price you are asking.

Thanks guys
Thanks for the input. I don't think these would be cores, with no scratches (the ipad pic is a bit blurry), all matching set..I would be surprised if they would be considered cores. Even the black still has a nice satin finish to them. They had spent the last 15 years of their 38 year life sitting in a climate controlled garage the tires are still supple...However, there is a very good chance you know more than me on the subject though. I pulled one to get the code for someone and I'm posting the pic. When my adapters get here I will give them all a solid cleaning, any suggestions on how best to do that would be appreciated. Again, thanks!

76 with ring caps
Is one type of cap more desirable than another? Thanks!

no it helps me to know if its a pre 74 15x6 wheel
did you look for the dates on all wheels? edit, just saw where you said they were matching calling them cores was a stretch Last edited by 914agogo; 05-30-2014 at 12:02 PM.. |

FS Fuchs 15 x 6 complete set
In general the older the more valuable. 74 was the beginning if the hub centric wheel and thus the ring type cap. They look like nice wheels but they are not as valuable as the Fuchs with heart or the one year only deep six with no heart. (71) A complete set would be 5 as these cars were still coming with a Fuch spare.

Taking them off today....
Any suggestions on the best way to get them clean after almost 20years sitting dormant in the garage? Pretty dusty, but I want to ensure I don't harm them while getting them back to clean.
Thanks |

Again, Thanks ELZ
.....saved me some scrambling to figure that out. Go some tips on cleaning them up from another porsche guy. Will be doing that this weekend. Just a good wipe down helped a lot. Definitely show as you would expect from wheels that spent the last nearly 20 years in a time capsule, everything had a good solid coat of dust.

I would argue these are better than restored wheels. They likely have very low mileage considering their condition. Therefore, less chance they'll crack as some old Fuchs have done. If I were restoring my car to original I would snap them up! Good luck on the sale - Definately NOT cores!

Thanks catuck! Yes, suppose I should mention that the car is believed to have had mesh BBS's on it for a long time while these sat. Can't confirm though, it came 3rd party. The car does have just over 100k anyhow, so they either have really low miles or extremely low miles. The tires are like new so maybe if I can find a date code on them it would tell the story.
