Ok, so there is the story, that I dont think that belong to this threat, nevertheless, that member bought a wheel from me in another forum, than 6 months after he decided to return the wheel saying that it was broken, I even agreed to take it back to look at it, but, in the end I got no wheel, instead I started to get intensive emails with racist xenophobic comments to my country and to me comments like "Oh do you have google in Portugal" or "Iīm amazed that you can use internet" and others unpleasant ones". Now I have SOLD more than 700 steering wheels with no problems at all, of course something wrong can happen to anybody, I have sold probably the most desirable and hard to find steering wheels and other accessories, I have made many friends all over the world,I allways stand my sells, and I allways sell with pay-pal so there is a timing for security reasons. but what Iīm not up to is to be insulted by some guy that I have no idea who is, specially when I can easy see that is has Xenophobia reasons about Europeans, Portuguese or Spanish people. That was a mistake,after that no more comments on heīs words, every time he comments a my teeths I reported, of course it makes people wonder, so I suggest that ALL the Members that bought from me come forward and give some feedback, like some already did in other threats. This is not the appropriate place to do it. So I had already reported this situation to forum moderator that in the past also had to erase his comment. That guy is out of any kind of dialogue, as I said I stand behind my items, and ALLWAYS had good feedback with everyone, and always tried to resolve problems if there was a problem, and as I said, I can not control everything. but I can surely take a RACIST out of my dialogue, in the end this post will probably end this treath, and he will "win" or make is damage. But what can I do the man is persistent, so what do you sugest I do???I which I would live in America to see him face to face to have those comments made to my face but I dont, and that is the sad story.

I bought the wheel in the middle of winter, and informed the seller it would be a while before I fitted it. It was 3 months. Immediately when I fitted it, I heard a snap.....and noticed a crack had formed. Eventually, I took some rubbing alcohol and removed the rattle-can black spray paint covering a previous inferior repair. Paulo assured me he could fix it and send it back or fix it and all it to someone else and refund my costs.

After I sent the wheel back, he refused to accept the package,and it was returned to me, he made up a story about being away so I returned it again. He verified that he received it. Then started telling me how I don't need the money because I own old Porsches that he can no longer afford....wtf? Nice attitude.

He assured be it was being repaired, then he would sell it and pay me back. It has been 2 years. He hasn't replied to my emails, pm's but now he has replied to my reply. Thank you sleepy911 for making that happen.

As I suspected, the other guy still trying to prove he is right, telling a bunch of lies and missing the good parts of the story, and, with a poor atitude of whatever he think he is, now the truth is simple, "A guy buys a steering wheel that is rare and very delicate (those early 60īs ABARTH wheels are made of a very mild aluminium compared with later ones from 70īs or even nowerdays aluminium wheels) by some reazon he bends it and he brakes it, probably trying to bend it back, then he contacts the seller saying, MY wheel has broken while I was driving. he sends me the picture of the crack, and he asks for a refund." now:

1š I never saw the picture of the all broken wheel until today, so I have to thank you for bring up this subject so we can really clear things out.

2š By looking at that picture I can really see what I have suspected all along, THAT WHEEL WAS BENDED and it BROKE while trying to REBENDED BACK. Is clearly visionable the wheel is not correct and on a straigh line as you can see by the pictures of the same wheel in the day it was sold and shipped.

3š As beeing a wheel collector/buyer/seller for more than 20 years with a current sotock of 250 steering wheels, and with more than 600 wheels sold worldwide for ALL kind of cars, I had/have all kinds of steering wheels and most of my clients/friends know me for that, I KNOW WHY THAT WHEEL BROKE. EXCESSIVE FORCE ON IT. this can happen by HOLDING ON THE WHEEL WHILE YOU ARE SITTING ON THE CAR AND TRYING TO GET OUT OF THE CAR, or IF YOU HAVE AN ACCDENT AND YOU HOLD ON THE WHEEL, or ANY OTHER EXCESSIVE FORCE PUTING STRESS ON THE ALUMINIUM, itīs very comum to see early MOMOīs with stress signs, or BROKEN. this will probably wont hapen on newer wheels like the ones you can see in the begining of this treath. These are made of a much stronger aluminium.

4š Nevertheless I TRYED TO HELP SOME HOW EVEN WHEN 6 MONTHS HAVE PASSED AFTER THE GUY BOUGHT THE WHEEL.

5šAfter a few changing of emails I REFUSE TO REFUND WHAT I THOGHT TO BE A MISTAKE FROM THE CLIENT and precisly because of the atitude and arrogancy of the guy.

6šTHIS GUY SEND ME AN EMAIL THAT YOU CAN READ FOR YOURSELF WITH THOSE WORDS THAT YOU CAN READ. that WAS / IS THE END OF CONVERSATION OR ANY OTHER CONTACT.

Now Iīm proud of being Portuguese and allthought I have adress in Madrid and Lisbon and moving allover EUROPE I have among my clients/friends some of the biggest PORSCHE /FERRARI / Classic cars in general specialists on my mobile phone. Also I have SOLD to allover the world and ALLWAYS had a great FEEDBACK.

BUT IF I SEE A GUY THAT IS TRYING TO SCAMM ME WITH SOME BULL*** STORY AND IN THE TOP HE MAKES FUN OF ME AND MY COUNTRY!!!! I WONT ALLOW THAT, NOT NOW, NOT YESTERDAY AND NOT TOMORROW.

So as this beeing sad I salut all the members that are reading this, and specially all the happy costumers I have all over the world.

How is it a scam if yo have both the money and the steering wheel?

Thank you for showing the original photos of the wheel in the condition you sold it in. Notice the fleshly rattle can painted spokes covering up an inferior repair. Also notice the lumps in the spoke in exactly the same spot where the crack occurred.

Here's paulo's email stating he has had other broken wheels and admitting the wheel had been repaired based on the same photos that he saw 18 months ago but now denies.

Seller is a lair and a scammer.

Don't buy from Paulo.

There's always 2 sides to every story. I will not take any sides But just from what Ive learned here I see 1 big problem. Regardless of how the wheel was damaged or what comments were made, this fact still remains. You have the money and the wheel and the buyer has nothing. This isn't right. Return his wheel because he paid for it or return the money. You can't have both.

No, I will take a side. You can't sell a defective product, receive money, have it break, admit that it's defective and broken, have someone send it back to you (taking more time and money on the buyer's part), keep both the money and the wheel for almost a year now and try to disguise the whole broken and busted transaction with smoke and mirrors and accusations of so-called racism.

Am I out of my mind? Really? Isn't someone in this equation due a refund or a wheel that wasn't defective? You've got to be kidding.

You know what, that wheel was solid when it was shipped and that email was based on some very selectiv pictures that I was sent where I could only see the carck, this picture of the bended steering wheel never came to my eyes until yesterday, and yes I was ready to do everything in my power to arrange it. But that was the first email 6 MONTHS after the selling.

Now, RACISM and XENOPHOBIA are not SMOKES and MIRROS they are REAL. People should take responsability for their own actions. I take mines all the way.

Yes you are right, and I have a lot of African friends that I care a lot about, I love them like I love other friends and I have travel to some african contrys, and of course I dont think that about Africa or ANY other country in the world!!! I guess I was hot headed when I wroth that...I am Jewish I have lived in 8 diferent countrys so, unfortunatly I know what segregation means. that quote was irresponsible, but I do apologize right now for all the African people or any other nathionality that could be ofended by that...it was a mistake to response like that...
