WTB: Recaro Idealsitz S Seat

Looking for a drivers side, prefer good to excellent condition with sliders but any condition considered.
Also consider a pair if you don't want to split them up.

Thanks,
Bud

Thanks Marco, I'm sure they are wonderful seats but a little too swanky for my needs.
Appreciate the reply and GLWS.

Best.

Can someone make a set out of 74-75 sport seat cores and recaro ls seats.
I know it's a lot of work , but when you have cores

I like the idealsitz seats and have notice the price go up n down.

The last set of cores sold for 2k and nice ones going for 5k

We've made a few out of early sport seat cores (back when they weren't worth anything). Lop the headrest off and weld in the pieces to accept an early headrest. Then recover it like an early seat.

Today, though, the mid-year sport seat cores are too valuable to cut up.

To the OP, I am flexible on the price and willing to take parts in partial trade if you're so inclined. I have lots of seats and only one butt to sit on. Something's gotta give.

Marco, I really only need the drivers side for some mountain road driving from time to time. I had some very nice '71 sport seats that were great for spirited driving but I found them to be quite uncomfortable on long distance drives and much prefer the standard comfort seats for that. (I'm 6'-1", 230lbs, old fat and broke down) That being said, I've never actually sat in a Idealsitz S seat, just hoping from what I've researched that they are a bit more comfy/roomy.

Anyhoo...appreciate the trade offer...I got nuttin'

Cheers,

Hello SevenDe
It sounds like you would be very happy and confy in a pair of Idealsitz S. I have three sets in my cars and they are the most comfortable seat of the period...period. They have a wider seat bottom, higher side support and lesser shoulder restriction than Sport Seats. Also they are lighter (considering tilt/lift rails on the sports). That said, you shouldn't pay more than 5k for a great set, not very long ago someone here sold a NOS brand new set for 8k. Try the german ebay site, that's where I found mine and the mos I spent was 3.5k euro a year ago.
Cheers
MD

So... got this email offering the seats pictured below. $1800 for the drivers side, what a deal eh? Searched his name on Pelican, just signed up yesterday, no posts. Had the guy call me, broken english, short answers. Said he was in CA, phone said Texas. When asked the cost for both seats he said $4800, hmm...
When I said no Money Gram payment...Click!

Buyer beware!
Not sayin', just sayin'...

Hi Bud,

I have a nice pair of Recaro Idealsitz S Seats for sale. They are in excellent shape and condition as seen in the attached photos. I'll take $1800 shipped for the driver side. I'll be shipping via UPS or FedEx whichever you prefer and shall accept payment via Money Gram as my PayPal is currently dormant. What's your shipping address?

Thanks,
Theo.
