FS: NIB ADS 300i Speakers

I am selling some great plate speaker perfect for that Mid 80's 911. These ADS 300i speakers are new in box and come with hardware. I was going to install them but decided not to. Probably not to many of these left in this condition.

$375 for the pair.

I always put these in the doors and rear panel with Z Box bass enclosures in the rear side panels They were great sounding speakers! Nice looking too . GLWS

I have a pair of these in my targa. They sound pretty great for being powered by a 80s 15w cassette deck! GLWTS

I sold these for $310 a pair at my store up till 1990. Then DEI bought ADS and that was the end of that.Now ADS has been out of business for 10 years and these 27 year old speakers are going for $375? With no hope for parts either? While I totally respect any persons right to ask what ever price they want for something and these speakers "should " go for a premium price as long as the voice coils aren't frozen, this seems like someone asking for a ransom or you don;t get your dog back.
In all fairness to the seller they sure look pretty and these are definitely the rare of the rare.

I have been looking for a pair of 300i's or Boston Acoustic C700 plates for a few weeks now and have decided there is enough interest in these types of speakers that I am going to see if there
is some way I can resurrect the re- manufacture of these speakers or something like them .

If someone has a pair for sale at less then the NOrdstroms price of these beauties I would be interested in buying them. I am also interested in units that may have bad speakers in themor scuffed up frames but they should be the original drivers so that I can compare their parameters to something new currently being built.

hmm...these are un-used new in box for someone that wants the right retro look and good sound. I don't think the price is all that much. Clearly, the person quoted is looking for the scratch and dent sale. With that mentality, I would like an 88 911 turbo for maybe 30K or how bout a 356 SC for 5K.....
