69 912 902/14 transmission

Yesterday lost ability to shift to 2nd gear. R+1+3+4 are all ok problem limited to 2nd gear. Live with car on Oahu Hawaii. Sent engine to SOCAL for rebuild about 12 years ago. Runs great until 2nd gear issue - I ready to drop engine and ship trans 902/14 to someone for rebuild to keep original - might consider a swap but not willing to ship without getting one that has been refurbished. Ideas??? thanks Chris K

I would suggest shipping to Benton Performance in Anaheim Ca. Call and talk to John Benton. They rebuilt mine me I am completely satisfied with their work. You can YouTube John he has a few 912 videos online. Good Luck RC

Many Porsche transmission problems are linkage related. Suggest you do a search on the 912 website (https://www.912bbs.org/forum/) for linkage adjustment methods before tearing into the transmission itself.
