I have run straight 30wt in all my 356, 912,914,vw's.....
any thoughts on her latest rebuilt engine / oil. synthetic or multi wt? Thanks Steve |

After break in, roughly 12k to 16k, go with synthetic. It beats dino juice in all categories. Sure it may leak if you're engine isn't tight, but it'll still grease the innards up good as we say down South

Loco, thanks I will try it.
And the ski rack for the targa uses the two targa band screws about 2-3" apart on the drivers side above your head...still looking for a picture of the Piper rack/targa mount. The lower end rack uses the rubber plug tow hook hole and rests on the large rubber block for support All the best Steve |

On my 912E rebuild last summer, Rich (Tuner) had it running on Castrol 20/50 dino. After approx 2k, we switched to Castrol full-synthetic 2/50. Purrs like a kitten after 10k (hard miles)...prior to this I was a die-hard Mobil One user...
