912E fuel gauge wiring

Anybody know the correct wiring of the fuel gauge on a 912E?

I checked the archive, but only found a nice picture of the early 912 setup.

Thanks.

I'll pull my gauge and take a pic of it if that helps? Let me know.

I'm a bad Pelican. I dropped the car off at the mechanic before I remembered about the pic. Can you wait a few days? I'm truly sorry. I just plain forgot.

Hey Dave, no problem, Just wanted to get it eventually

Thanks Eki, I've looked at that diagram, and just get lost trying to figure out what's going on there. Lots of great information on that site, especially on 912e fuel injection

wiring

I hope this helps , didnīt have the camera with me....

Anyway , if you hold the meter in your hand and look from the backside , where the connectors are:

- the bottom one ( the warninglamp ) has two wires coming to it, one is BLACK(the right side ) and the other is RED/BLACK(left connector). This RED/BLACK continues up to the top left corner(+), and stays the same color.

- The top left one ( + ) has this RED/BLACK coming from the warninglamp , and continues somewhere staying RED/BLACK.

- topmiddle ( G ) has a greenwire coming to it. Must be the gauge ?

- right from that is the light , which is BLACK.

-a bit down from that is the ground connection , and that is BROWN.The other ground is not used.

This is how MINE is done , and it seems to work....

Do you still need a pic too ?
