Would you please help me with identifying a parts number? I am looking for for the vertical metal part of the jamb that is to the INSIDE OF the rubber seal of the column. It is angular in section profile
On the one side, angled out to create an edge along which the rubber door seal is wedged in. On the other side it angles in towards the rear and the leatherette from the side wall paneling wraps over it up to the rubber seal. Mine has rusted away on both sides L/R and I need replacements. Initially I thought it was part nos. 901-502-245-00 and -246-00 "angle" . I found them at DC Automotive. They cut them out of a car and sent them to me.... unfortunately they are wrong, part of the column but what appears to be to the outside of the seals and not a good match at that - maybe for the coupe. I now think they are parts 901-555-023-01 and -024-01 titled "filler piece". But "filler" title scares me, is this it? a metal "filler" , meaning "backing" maybe . The other odd thing in the catalog is it's marked "X" on the quantity column instead 1 for each side for a car, meaning "as many needed" . Why would one need more it its metal, is this a foam spacer maybe? and what is the metal part??? Help me please ![]() The part as shown below is after the leatherette of the side wall was stripped back : ![]() ![]() |
