BIG brakes for the 912?

Hello!

i´m searching for the info for putting big ones to the 912,
(i have 944 turbo brakes in my vw panel - awesome stopping power - i want this also in the 912)
but i havent seen any good topics how and what parts to use...

do you have any good links or knowledge what to use, theres a set opf boxter brakes for sale, and some bigger brakes from porsche, ...do you know any company that sells a good set disks + calipers?

the original engine is out of the car, and something between 66x90 six or a modified 3.0 will be replacing the 1720 cc flat four.
i will be also getting 7x17 wheels so the wheel measurement is not the biggest problem.

thanks for your time. Jyri / http://volkswanker.blogspot.com

but why is it necessary? is the reason the bolt pattern for the calipers? why not use a machined bracket? or are the suspension parts too weak?

Hi, also to consider the weight of the car, as I have once been told by a P mechanic. Anything under 1000kg will do greatly with front M calipers from the T.

Hmmm. I have 944 turbo brakes on my v-dub panelvan, and the stopping power is So great. I would like big powerful brakes especially on a porsche. I just bought a 993 brake set

so far, i´ve started to make a bracket from a wood block, to see what it needs to put these 944 turbo brakes to a bone stock 912. my new 993 brakes are coming hopefully this week, so i will see which ones are easier to adapt.

can i use the emergency brake parts from a 944 in a 912? or should i do a bracket also to the rear?

The result: we will use the 944 turbo brake parts, the front brackets are ready, but in a zink-treatment, but the rear is a bigger problem. Is there any aveilable bracket for this, or is the best way to take the rear brake assembly off, and send that to the machinist? Seems like the rear disc fit well/easily to its
place. :-) but the caliper fitment is the hard Part. So if someone has a solution, please let me know. Thanks. Picks will come to my blog later on...
