front brake caliper

Hi to all, I am new on this forum and I thank-you all.

Here is my issue, had a little brake problem this October, rear right caliper seize at a good speed. So I decide to rebuild the system during the winter.

So the rear is almost all done, now comes the front.
Yesterday I took the front left out.

1 broken bleeder extracted should be fine.
1 piston a bit slow, the other is moving fine.

Now here is the surprise, a brown color oil? came out of the caliper. Ouch!

Does any body has full diagrams of the front caliper? And any experiences with rebuilding them?

Thanks to all and Happy Holidays, Michel

You need excess to the factory serviced manuals or the Porsche 912 Handbook (known as the orange book).

Basically all Porsche cast iron calipers, front or rear, from '64-'89 are the same to rebuild. There are minor differences in the rubber dust boots but that is really it. There is lots of information on the net to support DIY rebuilding. Look on the 911S bbs forums and here. Order new factory internal seals for the fronts too as they are not in the kits.

There are some differences between the calipers for the vented and unvented rotors. Concepts are the same, just some extra parts and pieces on the vented rotor calipers.
