1967 912 Slate Grey/Red!!
I have the best 912 that might be coming to the market. Finishing up this month. Never been advertised before. Getting polished and badges going on.
1967 Slate Grey/Red all numbers correct. West coast car since 2 years ago. Engine and driveline just redone. 5 Speed, new Glasurit paint, Lots of original parts and very correct. Everything has been gone through and not a full on resto(it did not need it). Original interior, radio. Best color combo!! I have COA(all correct) Car is here in NY. Steve Var. ![]()

Site rules require that you post an asking price, or tomorrow morning you will wake up and "poof" your thread will be gone...

Yes, good, well restored 912's are fetching more and more...
And this one has one of the most wanted color combo's. 30K for a sorted driver is not uncommon anymore. Wake up!!

They sell for more than this and at a brisk pace. Of the 37 912's sold at European Collectibles in 2012, we sold two for over $50,000. 8 were sold for more than $40,000. 16 were sold between $30-$40,000. 6 were sold in the $20-30,000 range and the balance, 5 were sold for less than $20,000.
The market is strong for the cars and folks you'd never think would buy them a grabing them up. 911 owners. 356 owners. Collectors. Back yard mechanics looking for something to work on and make drivable. Our most diverse group of buyers. It's very hard to find a running and driving 912 that doesn't need some expensive work for less than $20,000 these days.

Ad does not say 'for sale' anywhere in title or copy. So it's not listed in that column. Just getting a real nice '67 912 in the best colors up and coming and may go up on the market soon. It's a great convo starter and great to see some talk for great cars. Been involved with 912's and Porsches for decades. Folks who know me know have been looking forward for pics. Thanks!

When I insured my 12 with Hagerty years back, it was valued at 8k - and its still in good condition and an excellent driver... Guess it's time to call them to increase. ![]() So what your saying is the 912 in this post a "Vehicle condition #1"? (according to the Hagerty chart) Last edited by volken65; 02-21-2013 at 03:37 PM.. |

that really is one of the best color combinations on a 912....
has a nice retro-mod feel to it.

I know you have heard all the complements necessary on the Polo... But - Those seats are really a great touch.

I guess my point is these cars are great stock and yet a great place to start for a 4 cylinder hot rod. They are just wonderfull cars. I think the 911's will keep pulling these cars up in price as long as the economy doesn't crash. Hagerty insures my car and that is what they thought it should be insured for.

I believe this thread demonstrates that desirability of 912s is way up, that owners believe in restoring them, that insurance companies are recognizing their value. All good.
