Dave Hillman 912 wiring diagram
Those using the Dave Hillman 912 PDF wiring diagram. Just keep in mine that some of the color combinations are not correct and some wiring is left off or it was not finished. below are a section of Dave's and the Factory wiring diagram. You can check it against the factory and see the difference. Since I do not use Dave's wiring diagram I didn't catch it until today.

Jaems,
It's indeed one of the late Dave Hillman diagrams I use. You say that there are some wires missing and colors are not correct. Regarding the missing, it could be that you do not have the complete diagram he made in more than 10 layers in PDF. Using the layers, you can only show the wiring for the head lights or the circuit for the battery charging circuit. Specifically for people with little experience with wiring and who are not used to read circuit diagrams, basically a good idea. I remember that there where several versions of his circuit diagram, but do not remember the differences. Do you have any idea why Dave used different colors than the P factory did? I don't know if Dave has redrawn the diagrams or that he just blended parts of the original and assembled them in a single PDF. Reading your post, I think he did the first. Below the same part of the diagram from the layered version I have. More complete than the previous version. So quite confusing. ![]() I've used the 912 diagrams just a few times, therefore I didn't note the differences. I should have paid more attention to it before advising Andrew. Otto |

I think Dave told me, once, it was not complete. I think he originally made it in illustrator and then was putting it in PDF format.
There is nothing wrong with it. Just be aware that the colors may be off from the original wires. You can still trace the wires. I have always used a blown up version of the original factory diagram. In a larger version, it is very easy to trace a wire. |
