Looking for more help, The corroded stem at the end of my fuel release will no longer hold a knob and I'm tired of grabbing it with plyers. I bought used cable on E-BAY but am worried if I pull the old one through I'll never get the new one to work. I cannot see the old cable in the front trunk, in the door crack or under the dash. I finally found a small portion behind the front wheel but I don't know how much further toward the dash it goes. Anyone out there. Please help. Thanks.

I've never done it, but I would imagine the cable runs through a housing or tunnel from place to place. After dis-connecting the cable from the latch pull it out, then grease up the new one and feed it through, re-connect. I hope this helps.

there's a little tube that runs into the area under the fender. it uses a little piece of rubber pipe to connect to the tube on the fender...IIRC. pop the flapper open, tie a fishing line to the old piece, pull it through, untie, retie to new piece, and gently feed through.
