Heads back from Headflowmasters

A lot of people expressed interest in seeing these once I got them back, so here they are. These are for my 2056, and the specs are:

1.7L cores
44x36 stainless valves, unshrouded
new seats/guides/etc.
full port and polish
single HD springs
chromoly retainers
chromoly exhaust studs
FAT HD rockers studs (not in pictures)

Chambers are 45ccs due to the heads being cut more than once, but should still work on my combo without too much trouble. Obviously opened up for the 96s. Total cost w/shipping was about $900, but they are damned near artwork. Very cool.

Enjoy!

More pics are on the site (yes this is a 914 engine going into a 912).

Later,

G

G,

Those look really nice!

Are those carbon sealing steps at the outer chamber circumference?

They look great. Looks like I can take out alot of the bump around the exhaust guide. from looking in yours, they took it all the way out to nearly circular. stock is almost a semicircle.

I was wondering if they would use shorter exhaust guides, to be more like the 2.0 guide height.

what's the url to your site so I can see more pics.

As for technical questions, I'm not really sure on the guides. He gave me what works, and that's all I was looking for. Head work is an art form, and Adrian came highly recommended, so I trust the work was done properly. As for the carbon seal, I know he does them, but whether this was done here, I have nothing to compare it to, so I'm not sure. Guess that was a question I just never asked. I told him what valves I wanted, and said "gimme the works", and this is what I got.

The url for the picture site is:

http://www.qtm.net/~persot/912

It's just pictures of the project, no website right now (took it down due to laziness on my part).

Thanks,

G

Griznant,

Thanks for posting these pictures. The heads look beautiful. I was wondering about the quality of Head Flow Masters' work because I am considering having them rebuild my 2.0 heads.

Alfred,
If your looking for a stock rebuild RIMCO does a good job, if you want to have them worked on like G, then Headflow is the place! G those look great, I should have my 2.0 heads back from RIMCO in a week or so, I'll post pics when I get them!

Randy,

I'm assuming RIMCO is doing a stock rebuild of your 2.0 heads - what are they charging you for that?

Thanks,
Alfred
