Miles, you know of 2 or 3 Grasshopper cars?

Can you have them contact me or put me in touch with them or direct them to the LE website? It would mean alot to many of us to have a photo of at least one of the cars and add their information to the Registry.

Can you put us together?

I searched the 911 board for references to the 911 RS colors and came across this thread:

Viper Green, hmmmm that was available as a color for the 914. I have never seen a car in that color tho.

Viper Green for the 914 was also only offered in 1976 as a Metallic color. Kinda post dates our 74 LE cars...

Is that the certified correct name?

The Viper Green that came out of the Porsche factory is different than the Viper Green that came out of the Karmann plant. The Porsche color is a little more "metallic". I'll see if I can scrounge up the mixing codes.

I'm not sure if this is truly representative, but here is a Viper Green diecast and the VW color charts.

I never met the drivers of the other two cars, but they were all in Atlanta, I got my car from a guy in Austell.

I may also remember one in Augusta (I mean it was 1974, and I was 10) I went to school with the P/A dealer's son, and we used to sit in the cars, and make engine noises.... RrRrrrRrrr.. Hey Mike!

There are a crap load of LEs in Atlanta, relative to anywhere else I've ever been, and little Dinos.. tons.. of red ones.

I like little Ferrari thingy too.

I would think our friend Roland K. would know all about the LE cars and have a packet of pictures to go with it. I have not seen him on the board for some time now. Has he been by lately or have I just missed his postings?

Last I heard of Roland Kunz was that he was fighting some health problems...its been a long time now.

He was also from Der Faderland, I doubt he would know much about the USA LE cars. He would be an excellent source for the Euro 914 GT cars though...I will try to find him.
