Bumpers
How much of a job is it to convert a '75 with the rubber bumper to the earlier-style chrome? I used to know these things, but it's tucked back in my mind with my ATM pin, passwords, and my anniversary...
Thanks, Andy |

1) Take off offending boat anchors, (AKA) late model bumpers
2) Take out front bumper shocks and mountings... now dead weight. If you don't like the holes where the shocks went through, you can weld them closed. 3) Cut off/Drill out rivets on flanges on side that used to hook into rubber on the sides of the bumper. Clean up the new side areas that will show now but wouldn't show with late model bumpers. 4) Drill 4 holes up front and 4 holes in back aligned correctly for mounting of older style bumpers. 5) Pick up old style bumpers, dog bones and bolts and put them on. - Dave |

On the front you will have to take off or modify the front lip flange also. It holds the rubber cover on and will get in the way of the rubber top.
