two terminal brake switch

Just replaced my brake warning switch on the master cylinder. I just noticed the old switch has one spade connection and my new one has 2. how should this be wired.

since the master cylinder is aluminum or some alloy, my guess is that one side (doesnt matter which) is to ground, and the other to your wire (which runs to the circuit).

Isnt the brake warning circuit part of the seat belt interlock box? I cant remember... dont have the schematic in front of me.

That's the way to wire it. Doesn't matter which one gets grounded, as long as one of them does. Uhh, unless one pin has continuity (zero resistance) to the threads or to the body of the master cylinder.

I don't think the brake switch is part of the seat belt interlock system.
