914/6 valve adjustment

Anyone have some tips on how to adjust valves on a 914/6? Thinking about doing this myself over the weekend.

Be advised you will have to remove the heat exchanger to do this easily. It's been awhile since I had the -6 but as I recall removing at least one of them is mandatory and it makes the job easier (really) if you remove both. So have the appropriate gaskets in hand.

If this is the first time for awhile you may have issues with the exhaust flange nuts so when you finally get them off use Never-Sieze when you reassemble it so it will be easier next time. Use care (and maybe heat) here because you don't want to break any of the exhaust port studs off.
