Heater Lever Indicator Light

Does the Indicator light require a ground wire from the backside of the indicator?
Mine has 1 wire connected to the light but I do not see a ground wire on the other side of the bulb?

Yes, it does require a ground. On my car, which had a center console, the ground pin connects to a short brown wire that has a ring terminal that goes over one of the mounting screws for the light base.
