Can anyone look at this car to check its condition? Looks like the rear is sagging big time! Rust?

Jeff, I also know of a creamsicle LE by my house. I will try to get you a vin sometime soon. It's at a euro repair shop out back, still has a temp tag in the rear window from 1976 and owner swears 44 orig k! But it has been outside a long time, and he was not very friendly, and said it was not for sale. It could be the orig miles but hard to tell since it's been outside for so long, such a shame. Ferg.

You guys are amazing...I love this board. You are my eyes and ears! I haunt ebay daily...you just beat me to it...

I have contacted another LE owner in Tennessee to see if he is interested in the ebay car...but golly...he already owns FIVE LE cars already...and 3 or 4 of those are projects....

I will also contact the seller and see if he can connect me with the future buyer.

Ferg, I would love to get the data from the Creamsicle near you. Maybe a photo too? There is also another LE owner is Colorado. I hope to someday have an LE car reunuion somwhere...wouldn't that be cool to see 50 or 100 LE cars all lined up...

Oh just remembered, that I saw a guy last year at the pca auto x with a super nice creamsicle in denver, If its not the same guy you are thinking I'll get his info as well. I will alsotry and get you a pic of that car thats outside , but I may need to be sneaky about it, as well as the info on my own 74, I just sold my 2.0 to a buddy, and my six is in for paint, so... I will hunt down those numbers as well. Ferg

Thanks Ferg any info you can provide is greatly appreciated. The email links and photos to any and all cars I have found are in the LE registry on the website, so check there to see if its already documented. The only Colorado car found is in Morrison, CO, and its a Bumblebee.

Rob, the full details of the 914 LE cars are on my 914 Canam website at the link below. Let me know what you think...These cars are definite collector items.

Lets preserve this one!

BTW, do all the photos come up on the 914 Canam website for everyone? Please let me know if you have any problems...or if they display correctly.

Ahhh then I do know of one more... The car I'm thinking of in Denver is a creamsicle, and one of the best 914's I've ever seen, fully restored. I'll try and track him down... our local pca meeting is tomorrow night, with any luck he will be there. Ferg.

I know where there is a BB with a brand new (0 miles) 2.0, trans, clutch, and paint for $11,500 or something.

That sounds like a better project car to me, plus it comes with attitude.... errr Ottotude.

That car looks iffy. Prolly needs quite a bit of work. What is the blue in the engine shot? Looks like a blue rear hood??? I think the back is saggy looking because the rear wheels are on the ramp of the trailer....

the creamsicle is owned by a guy in Carbondale, near Aspen. He came down from the hills just for that auto cross. I talked to him and ogled the car for a quite a while. It is very nice. all original if memory serves.

he is a good guy too.

mike which car was yours?

mine was the broken one in my garage ; )

yeah, I talked to you, you drove that back from Cali. Ah,, lured by the power of a 6. I don't blame you. I have a Metallic Silver 72, 5 lug, 16", 2.lL, it is at the body shop now, hopefully done in a week or so, so that I can put it back together.

Thanks Bruce that car is stunning wouldn't you say?

Rob 914...you will regret not buying this car if its as described. Did you find my 914 CanAm website about the LE cars?

I will contact this seller for more info and include it on the website.
