Exhaust system for 914
We are building a stock 2.0 liter 4 cyl engine, who makes a decent exhaust header system, heat not required.

The best one out there is by Tangerine Racing. They even have an option for a small amount of heat, which can be nice to clear your windshield on a cool foggy morning.
Be sitting down when you read the price list, though. Having the best costs money. --DD

Thanks Dave, yes, speed costs money, how fast do you want to go??
The Tangerine might be the best for someone, but not me. Far too expensive. |

Is "European George" still alive? My big four and the six conversion both used headers he had made, really great.

Marty Schneider at MSDS makes 914-4 headers, among many others.
MSDS - Exhaust Systems I think the following are either "European George" headers, or based on those: Porsche 914 "European Racing Headers" Headers for 914-4 Motors Part# 914.4-158H --DD

I found a stock NOS Dansk muffler on Ebay and a cheapie system on Craigslist. Now waiting on a twin 40 IDF system from PMB and see if she runs

Partial victory, she runs!! only for 10 or 15 seconds but enough to register 50# of oil pressure. Going to get it installed into the "rust free chassis" and how she goes.

Hi John, congrats on getting it going! I thought you were putting in a 2.7.
Took mine out for a test run last week. Small oil leak from RMS. Engine came out Saturday but should be back together shortly. Text me some update pictures. Tony

Yes. Replaced the RMS. Also had to put in a new clutch disk because it was oil soaked. Should have it back in this weekend.
