Heat Exchanger Identification Help

Below are pics of the flanges where the muffler extractors bolt onto the HE's on my 75' 2.0L.

I'm considering different exhaust options and would like to get a positive identification if these are in fact 75 2.0L, or the 74/earlier style. What do I have? I mean, besides a lot of rust :)

Other than more muffler options, what is the performance advantage the early style has over the later style HE's? Is there a measurable horsepower difference?

Look like early HE's to me. I think it was something like a 7hp gain to the early HE's....someone will know for sure.

Those are 73-74 2.0 heat exchangers.

The 74 2.0 made 95 HP (DIN rating). The 75 2.0 made 88 HP (DIN rating). The exhaust was the main engine difference... You do the math. ;)

Dave/Eric,
Thanks a lot. You guys just made my day!

Since I've got the early style HE's (love that PO), it looks like I can add the Triad Muffler as an exhaust option. Cool :) And thanks again for your expertise....
