Oil on clutch disc

I read about removing oil from a clutch disc with brake cleaner in a post here but I can't seem to find it. My disc has quite a bit of oil on it- is it still cleanable? And what cleaner do I use?

Brakleen by CRC-spray can. Try it and then see if you can reuse the disk.

Cleaning Clutch disk

I had an oil covered clutch disk due to leaking rear main seal. It was suggested to me to use acetone to remove the oil. I soaked the disk in the acetone overnight. Rinsed it down with clean acetone, sanded it lightly and reinstalled. After driving for a while, the disk is working perfectly. It did slip when RPM's climbed over 4K, but that doesn't happen anymore. Good luck.
