Question 914 Oil levels

Whats an acceptable amount over over-fill of oil? I know that some people put in as much as an extra quart of oil for track events... is there an amount that causes too much pressure (and blows seals etc)?

About a half-quart is generally considered acceptable. Pretty much, the same amount over the "full" mark on the dipstick as the "low" mark is below it. I probably wouldn't run a full quart over, myself.
