PacificNW 914meet #3
Allright guys here is the date. I will have more details to follow. Basically we will start at 10am Saturday August 2nd. It will be held at my Pizza parlor again. There will be prizes given but I don't think we will do judging on cars. Just to much involved & not enough time to talk with everyone. I am open to doing some judging & giving awards if we have some volunteers! We will have a fun drive possibly to the coast for those interested.
I decided on the 2nd because that is when we have what is called " the sizzlin summer sidewalk sale". Basically all the businesses in town have a sales out on the sidewalk. So there is a pretty decent draw of people to town. I figured that would be a great time to show off our cars. We can do a little parade thru town on our way out of town. It will be a great time to be had for all. Bring your significant others & they can shop .So that is just the basics. I will have more info to follow. I'd also love some feedback & ideas. Thanks guys I'm looking forward to it. I would love to top our best showing of 25cars! So tell one tell all! Pizza, Beer & 914's just doesn't get any better. Oh yeah except I have added a stage in my store for live music. So that will be a possibility too!

Think Salem (forgive me, Monmouth)... it's just a litter more south.
A caravan sounds great!

Monmouth is about 20 minutes west of Salem! Portland is about an hour drive from Monmouth! Hope you can make it!
I will be hitting a few distributors up for prizes. Pelican was great with our first event & sent us some great stuff for prizes! We tend to get a pretty good assortment of prizes for the event! It's great how everyone steps up to the plaet for these

Sounds great, Jamie! I'll have to see how the schedule looks for me, though... (Hey, Mom wants me to visit more often anyway.

West...south... Well, yeah, when you hold the map *that* way [I'll settle for SW of Salem on 99W... I really wanted to say north of Corvallis]Now you know why I say I'm "directionally challenged."

Caravan meet at 217 and I5 would be a good starting point. Easy on and off for the freeway south.

BEER!! PIZZA!! Count me in. My car is looking worse than ever so I should be a easy pick for "The best reverse restoration" award.

Here is kinda my tentative plan. Please feel free to pipe in with ideas.
Meet & greet at 9am Run to parts obselete at 10am ? Quick parade thru town! 12:3-2:00 Lunch at Main St. & Give awards! (I will have Live Music) 2 on I was thinking of heading to Coast for Golf or just a nice ride! So I'm open to suggestions here gentleman. There will be a $10 entry fee for each which includes lunch. $5 for those who aren't intrested in staying for the Pizza! Drinks will be left up to you! Anything $money left over after costs will go to Korijo's fundraiser! Thanks & look forward to your input

Not nearly a long enough stop at Parts Obsolete, IMHO. 11 AM - 12:30 to leave, drive to McMinnvile, wander through the 650 tons of parts, buy 1.8 tons of them, drive back? Nope, not gonna happen!
![]() Maybe start a little earlier? Or at least leave a little earlier. Lunch will still probably be late! --DD PS--either resurrect this topic or start a new one a month before the meet and I'll stick it to the top.

I gotta make sure the local car show's not that weekend, but if it's not I could meet ya in chehalis. I won a scholarship from the car club that puts on our local one so I kinda think I should show up to show em what I've been up to if it's that weekend.
