Head(s) storage question...

I've got a spare set of nice (meaning "no cracks") 2.0L heads that I pulled off of a parts car. I don't have the time or pesos to rebuild them right now. Is it okay to store them in a bucket of kerosene (w/lid) until I get around to having a proper rebuild done? I wouldn't think that it would hurt them, but then again I've never soak aluminum parts that way. I need to do something with them before this d*mn Missouri (pronounced: Misery) humidity turns them into a pile of brown and white dust.

And while I'm asking, has anyone found a better/alternate location for mounting the A/C compressor (Sanden Sd508) in the engine compartment? I'm open for suggestions!

Just give em a good coat of oil and wrap them up with newspaper, and they should be fine.
