Paranoid, or is it getting louder?

The last 50 miles seem louder, I am about to get really pissed off again.

M,

If you mean valve train noise....sure, it is going to do that. Esspecially if you did not keep the lifters/pushrods/and rocker arms as a set. Each contact point has to wear slightly to become "matched " again.

Also, The engine will sould be quiet at start up, get slightly louder during the warm up and almost as quite as the start up level at opperating temp. It is an expansion rate / oil viscosity thing.

BTW, you are also hearing everything...It is the new engine paranoia syndrome. Louder ussually means loose. Lots of extra ticky ticky ticky...which is fine considering the break-in period. Check for pesky exhaust leack as well. Place a rag over the tail pipe while running. Do you get pressure build up? Do you hear a hiss of exhaust, possibly and probably from the manifold to the head connection...

Any other noise, lower tone, should be investigated...Top end noise expected. Bottom End noise not...

Good luck,

lsg

Thanks Scott. It's the valves all bendy though.

I have had one hell of a time, but this car must go.
