Weird and why is all I can think of. With the shift lever moved over to the right, it must me even more vague than normal. Dave; you didn't go to one too many auctions, did you?

well, the client called up and said his 914 had not run in a few years, then this showed up on the flat bed! Quite a change from the RS/RSR thing. I won't even dare to drive it- the shifter is directly between your legs - like a WW2 fighter plane. It has 914 guages and a lever actuated engagement of the clutch and brakes. Guess it is eligible for motorcycle runs? Can you imagine this in sturgis?

Wasn't that thing on ebay about 2-3 years ago - lime green then? There was a thread here on it at the time.

Do you mean there are 2 of these?? I would bet it doesnt handle at all like a 914. Tips over in the the curves.

Just goes to show you: a fool and his money are soon parted. Where's the bobber-head Chia pet on the rear window sill?

Nothing like taking a 914 and making it handle & look bad or taking a nice bike & doing the same.

Let's hope it was originally wrecked beyond repair before the mods. Pete

I would like to have Jesse James build me one like that out of a 916, and a mint 50's panhead.
