Wheels

I have just purchased a set of 911 S front struts, with alloy calipers, to install on my 1973 2.0 liters 914.

The rotors seem a little thin, I measured about 18 mm but I don't know what spec is. Help anyone ?

Also, I was offered a set of 16 X 6 5 bolt wheels but I did not get them becasue I was not sure they would fit. How do I make sure ? I figure I would need to measure the spacers on the hubs that I got in addition to ensuring that the wheels are standard offset.

Finally, can anyone say what a fiar price would be for such a set of Fuchs wheels ? they have black centers and seem to be a little rough.

Thank you all for your help.

I don't have a clue how they fit but I have read casified ads with 914's for sale with some type of 5 lug 16" wheel. My buddy with a 75 914 and a 74 930 says that the 16" wheels are NOT sought after. I've seen them for sale in Excelence want ads for about $100 each and that seemed a little high to my friend for rough examples. THe 15" are more sought after because they are fairly rare. Don't forget because you have a 73 the rear hubs can't been modified to the best of my knowledge. You need the 70-72 rear hubs, they have reinforcements in the casting for the 914-6 of that model year. The 5 hole pattern has to be drilled into the hubs by a machine shop. That friend with the 914 plans one doing the same mods that you are planing and a wheel/tire guy in Miami ofered him 2 16"x7"and 2 16"x8" plus Yokohamas for a grand. I think this was a special price though because my friend buys $1500 of Yoks from the tire guy every 10,000 miles for his 930 with 18" wheels.
