bosch or marrelli (sp?)?
if it's a marrelli, i think you want to go to bosch. i sent a '67 911 bosch dizzy to j. woods. it wasn't cheap, iirc, $4 or $500., but new 67s are over $1k. PP lists new bosch '70s for $655. i read some threads on the 911 board a year or so ago of someone rebuilding their own early bosch dizzy, but locating the correct shaft bushing and springs was not easy. i believe .......... they are NLA from bosch. doug waters |
You may be able to re-build it yourself. If the problem is only the end play you can buy a Bosch kit that contains all the fiber and felt washers to be used on the shaft. Just press the pin out of the bottom of the shaft and the unit can be removed. There is also some disassembly inside the housing, but thats not difficult. Just take some notes as to placement of the various parts and springs.
The Bosch P/N is - 1 237 010 007 - SMALL PARTS KIT I get mine from GERMAN AUTO @ 805-922-1262 The pin is available from a Porsch dealer, but I cannot remember the number. Ken |
