Coil connections

Trying to complete my engine. I connected the ignition coil wires as follows. The green points wire and black/purple wire to the -. I then connected the thick black wire to the +. I did a search for coil connections and found one that mentions a white FI wire and this should also be connected to the coil. Problem is, I dont remember this wire. I have a 2.0 D-Jet. Does anyone know if this wire is to be connected to D-Jet's or is it for L-Jet's. And if so, which wire is it?

Thanks,
Rod

I checked my 73 2.0 and the black/purple go to the neg. The thick black goes to the pos. I also have a thick red, but I don't think it is original and I havent traced it out.

FI wire is only on the 1.8s.

Green points wire to (-) connection.

Red wire is not a stock connection to the coil. Either it's an add-on by a PO, or it's something that plugs in somewhere else.
