OK - just got off the phone with the Venetian
The lowest rate they could do for us was $189/night. If you wish to stay there and I do recommend it, let me know and I'll add you to the room list. I have 15 rooms locked at this rate. If we need to go over that, I will need to check back with them quickly, as the rates may go up. James

How come you didn't sign up for the Baja Inn? We could have had another parade from there to La Bufadora and back.   Oh well, there goes 1/2 the cost of a set of new jugs!

Margarita doesn't need a new set....So I'm spending it on the wedding...
Regular price for a room that night is $279. The Hilton has rooms for under $80, but isn't quite stumbling distance. TI and the Mirage are across the street. I think Hurrahs is next door. Priceline seemed to have the best deals.

On the west side of the Strip you have: Mandilay Bay, Luxor, Excaliber, New York New York, Monte Carlo, Ballagio, Cesar's Palace, Mirage, Treasure Island, Frontier, Circus Circus, and the Stratosphere.
The east side: Tropicana, MGM, Aladdin, Paris, Balley's, Barbary Coast, Flamingo, Imperial Palace, Harra's, Vientian, and the Sahara. The Strip is not the greatest place for cruising on Friday and Saturday nights. I has taken me over and hour to go the 2-3 mile distance on these nights. Your clutch leg really suffers after the 200th time you depress the clutch in a single block. Congratulations on the wedding and good luck with the cruise. I am thinking about flipping the ring and pinion in an Audi 5000 trans and installing it in my car so I would have an automatic. I know this mechanic that thinks he can do it. Anyone ever done this before?
