New Year's Day gathering in San Diego?

I may very well be in San Diego right around New Years. I know we have a pretty strong (and vocal ) 914 Pelican community there. Anyone interested in a gathering?

Doesn't one of the members here run or work at one of the downtown restaurants? Might make a fun lunch or dinner...

The current plan is to show up around the 30th, head north on the 2nd. Yeah, not much time I know, but I've got family stuff to do... I'll be car-less, so no POS Honda unless it's someone else's. (Sadly, I still haven't figured out how to fix a 914 that actually has my name on the title. Sigh!)

I vote for either Mexican or Calfornia cuisine, but I'm open to suggestions.
