Flat Spot?
I let my teener sit for about a month without moving, set her on jack stands last night and could see a slight flat spot when I spun the tires in the air.
Will they "find" their roundness again? or do I now own $800 worth of square rubber? |
I let mine sit for about a year. Took it out of the garage and drove it down the street. When the tire heated up the flat spots were gone. I think some tires will do this overnight and outers will resist flat spots longer. Hope I am right. Get out there and drive. Mark

Old hard tires are less likely to rebound, if they are relatively newish.. and haven't been in a room full of welding.

Ma girlfriend had that problem. Found that a combination of silicone and heat by friction helped pump 'em up.
Depends upon the cord material - nylon or steel. Each takes a set, but the nylon will loose the set sooner. |
