Well, I guess some deals are too good to be true, as a 'friend' boned me and backed out on a complete-car deal we were gonna split and keep parts from. Leaving the seller upset, me upset, and him just shrugging his shoulders and saying "Oh well".. I'll spare you the details, but let's just say "
" So, I'm left to scare up a motor deal, and here's what I found - a '74 2.0 motor with stainless HEs, original banana muffler, and a brand new monza 4 tip. Also included is the clutch and flywheel, and all the tin, alternator, and wiring. Not included is the induction or dizzy. 70,000 ish miles, hasn't run in years, but "Ran when pulled ". I do trust the seller though, he's a reputable Porsche guy.All in all, pretty much everything I need 'cept carbs, which I know "someone here has and wants to sell me ". I have a new dizzy I'll use till I can get afford a Mallory setup. He wants $650.00 for it, AND I don't have to ship anything. I know I'll have to rebuild, and many things are planned if I get it. Is this a fair deal? Jeff

Man, I had to squeeze the guy just to get the stainless HEs, he really didn't want to sell them - and they look new, as is the monza.
That first ebay deal did seem good though, and I dig the warranty on the GPR girl - If they'd all come with warranties, I'd still have my first and be married a long time by now

Hey Kenpo
I'm in lovely Crochester - I bought a truck in august from a small dealer off the thruway in "Little Falls" I think it was. Kenpo, as in martial arts? AND NOW A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE...... I'll be picking up the motor this weekend, and I found a Weber setup too. Woohoo! I'll try to get some pix. Later! Jeff

You are right on the kenpo, That 2.0 is going to be nothing but problems, I think you should get rid of it as soon as possible...... I know a perfect dump......

I bought the GPR engine and it is with HPH/Raby for rebuild. I think I paid a little too much, but looking forward to the end result!
