That is one of the most beautiful 914s I have ever seen. And I've seen a few.

It looks like it came out real good.
The location of your air filter isn't going to allow it to get wet? Or is this a car that won't be driven in the rain and will be garaged? - Brett Smith

Nice car. I set it as my background. Hopefully mine will look like that in about 5 years.

I've seen that car somewhere; Ventura Autofest maybe?
It's a beauty...so why's it in the shop?

I just saw that car over at Dunkels, it is really a nice car. As for rain? it is supposed to rain today. There was another really nice 914 out at Dunkels that is in my opinion, one of the cleanest I have seen. It was white, all white with louvers in the rockers like mine. It was a 4 cylinder but it was really clean and straight. Anyone here own that car? Beautiful car.

Skline, The white car you saw at Dunkels with the louvers is mine. I see you are in Costa Mesa. I have my garage and shop near the fairgrounds. Thank you for your comments about my car. The car was built nearly fifteen years ago, I guess it still shows well! Regards, Dave Hall

Dave....seeing your car on here inspired me to paint mine all one color also (doing arctic silver). It's in the body shop as we speak....gorgeous car!

Here is a link to some pictures of my car. If you are going to paint out the top, I think it looks better if you leave the portion under the rear lip of the top the color black. Sanding down the top is no big deal- it will take a lot of blocking and fill primer to get it smooth and stright. Remove the sail panel moldings and fill the holes too. Yeh Mike, I have issues - the "no rain" statement. The other issue I will keep off this board.
