Finally got to visit Pelican today..

Had to ride to Torrance today and decided to do a mapquest search for driving directions to PP. Come to find out, it was only 9 miles from where I was and decided to check out the steel flares for my next project. I stopped by and met Tom and Bobby (great guys). Tom showed me the AA flares and the original flares. Surprisingly, they are idenctical or it appears they are. So, I will be purchasing the AA flares in the near future (Tom hold a set for me, please). Anyway, just wanted to thank Tom and Bobby for their hospitality. Next time, I hope Tom gives me a tour.

I was all ready to hear about your big tour and "Lunch with Wayne". I'll bet PP could make it a lot of fun! "Here, answer this order line," and "This is the staff parking lot, so watch out!". You could provide maps to the original Pelican sighting location and give bumper stickers like "I met Jack Olson."
Now if Jake Raby will just open a flat-four powered amusement park...
