alloy bonnet fuel filler
Hi all,
Does anyone know if this has been done before? I'm thinking about getting a duplicate bonnet (sorry... hood), probably fibreglass, and trying to fit a fuel filler that sits in the hood itself. I'm thinking in the style of an Audi TT type filler, but obviously more period looking and not all boy-racer. Thanks. Luke.

Yes, it's been done. I understand that it's a little tough to remove the fuel cap through the opening in the bonnet, and some fuel nozzles don't fit well, but other than that it's pretty decent.

ok, thanks for your replies guys.
chappy, what filler cap is that then? I see that you bought a spare bonnet to put it in.. that could be a wise idea. I thought it could be quite cool to get a fibreglass one and fit it with bonnet pins.

It's sized for a Mustang.
