John,
I could not help noticing the stock a/c in the background of your picture above, did you use it in your conversion? If so, what compressor setup did you use? I'm just getting started on my conversion, I have the car (74 2.0)and I have the motor (327), I will order the conversion kit soon. I hope to have it completed by this time next year. This will include a full rest of the car to. Yes, I'm ambitious (read insane), but I've done it before! Guy, did you use a renegade kit or desert hybrids? Randy

I bought most of the conversion parts except for water pump from Desert Hybrids. |

John - great placement for the lights. I think I've got a warning light temp sender in my junkbox, and I've got lots of LEDs, so I'll see what I can come up with. Thanks.

Jason, has to be when my wife's not around. Otherwise she'll scold me (she's works in the insurance business). I've been making a metal panel to cover the distributor cutout. What a pain. It's time for a beer.

Guy,
I have a exhaust/CO analyzer. You are welcome to use it. It's a handy tool. My wife scolds me too, I don't let it bother me.

I snuck out with the car yesterday to go get my hair cut. I got home my wife was there waiting for me and she let me have it. Said she'd spank me but wouldn't cause I'd like it too much
. Thanks for the offer on the analyzer. I'd like to know who made yours and how well it works for you. I have one but I don't have much confidence in it and no instuctions for it.

My engine guru didn't have much faith in a analyzer (in dash) and recommended having the air/fuel ratio checked while car was on dyno with a more accurate tool. The instrument used was connected to dyno and plotted the readings from idle to red line. Results were positive and ensured I had no lean conditions anywhere in the rpm range. If memory serves me right, measurements were recorded at every 100 rpm. His saying is tatooed in my head............"run lean once, run rich forever".

Mine is a Heathkit that I picked up on Ebay. It doesn't have a real fast reaction time. You have to be patient & wait for it to respond. Mine came with a manual but most of the content is related to assembly of the kit. It might be kind of interesting to use them both at the same time to compare accuracy.
