starter wiring

Besides the 2 large (red and black) cables, my starter has smaller (#12?) red and yellow wires going to two different spade lugs. The red on seems to go where the schematic shows the yellow one should go, and the schematic doesn't show the second wire.

Does anyone know what the second wire does?

Ben,

you've got me stumped on this one. what part of the starter are they located? do you have a remote starter setup, or a starter kill switch?

The wires all attach to stock-looking (no evidence of rig job) terminals. The little red and yellow wires attach to seperate male spade connectors. I looked at another 914 started I pulled and it only had one male spade terminal. There is no starter kill switch or remote starter. Please help!
