Fuel Pumps

What fuel pumps are you guys running with carbs?? I have (had) and el-cheapo autozon unit on mine and it went south today. What is a good one?? I had mine mounted in the bottom of the engine bay. That was a bad idea. I think the heat killed it.

Pelican sells an excellent one for about $50. I haven't looked it back up for reference here, but it has performed without hitch since I replaced my Facet pump about a year ago. It's quiet, easy to mount, and from our favorite supplier.

Up front, with the filter, next to the spare.

I run a Holley. It's a big blue crazy NASCAR pump, rated up to 90psi, but I had to have one redneck part in my car, or I couldn't live with myself.

It's sprung down to 4psi, and it's beautiful.

I had a facet under the gas tank, way to loud. When it went bad I had to pull the whole gas tank out to get at it.I replaced it with a rotary syle from CB, can hardly even hear it. I also decided to mount it under the engine, the thought of having to pull the gas tank out again really doesn't appeal to me. Also I mounted a glass filter in front of the pump, under the tank you can't check it out or replace them when you need to easily. Some mount the pump in the front trunk, the thought of having a fuel leak where I could have a suitcase or something other did not seem good either.
