SCCA SOLO Classes
I have a 73 2.0 that I am finishing and will give a try at SCCA this year. My dilemma is that the car has a 911 SC front suspension. After reading the rule book for Solo classes, it is difficult to tell if that change takes me out of Street Prepared C class and puts me into the Prepared F class, where I would have to compete with the 6 cylinders. It is difficult to get info from the local SCCA members since I cannot take the car to an event yet. If anyone has had any experience with this, I would appreciate the tips.

Try this site: http://www.best.com/~mouton/sccasolo/
and also give Steve at Air Cooled Racing a call as he has been doing cars for the SCCA for a long time, 1-717-432-4116. You could always email or call the SCCA headquarters and ask for clarification or classification as I have done several times. Good luck. |
