Parade Tech Quiz
 

Did you know Dave Darling won the 914 tech quiz at this years Porsche Parade and also had the overall HIGH score?!! There were some pretty nice 914s there, some with huge high horse power sixes.

Is it possible to see what the quiz was ? i.e. what the questions were.

I'll bet if everyone asked Dave really nice he could put some of the questions here or maybe even scan in the quiz????

I've promised copies to at least two sets of people so far... Hopefully I can talk Don or Wayne into putting the quiz up on the site. With luck, it will be as text rather than an image...

There were 70 "general" questions, which included one or two about most of the Porsche models, and other questions that pertained more to Porsche as a company and the PCA as an organization. There were 30 "model-specific" questions--a different 30 for each model, of course. And there were 20 "tie-breaker" questions.

My score was 71 (combined general and model-specific) and 12 tie-breakers. Ed Mayo was second with 71 and 9. I am told the winning scores are usually mid- to upper-eighties, so this was a pretty hard test.

For the 30 914-specific questions from a few years ago, search around on the 914 Club's website, http://www.dgi.net/914 . You'll find them somewhat interesting...
