Did the 914 come with this interior?

http://persweb.direct.ca/aschwenk/914page3.htm

go to the link above and look at the interior of the "Surf Porsche."
I would like to know if the 914 ever really had that light of an interior and if anyone has all the components...except for a 73 with moving passenger seat. I would love to have that as the interior color of my car instead of black.

Thanks
Paul

I've seen this interior on other 914's.

But what surprises me is that this car is a six, and they don't mention it as an option.

Those evil photographers also put it in SALT water. Super Double Death Evil!!!

I also like the tan interior.

Go to http://members.intelos.net/~jonwatkins/advertising_and_literature.htm and click on the second photo under the 1974 sales brochure heading.

Another question,

Has anyone had their seats et al recovered by an Automotive upholstery shop? How much did it cost?
How much for vinyl..leather?
Thanks again,
Paul

I too really like the tan interior!
Well heck I should since my '73 has one that color! Minor updates are sheepskin covers and "PORSCHE" logo floor mats which make the interior look more up to date.

Just couldn't resist!

I am soooo tempted to do that to my car. By the way, are they more comfortable, or about the same?
I want my seats to be leather, but don't want to lose an arm and a leg doing it.

Thanks,
Paul
