Turn Signals

I have the euro lights on the rear. Are the amber lights suppose to be on when the headlights are switched on? Or just when the turn signals are flashing? Also turn signals work when during the day when lights are off. But when I turn the lights on at night the left turn signal flashes but not the right. Any have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

The ambers are sidemarkers, If you pull the lenses off you will see little marble sized lights projecting off to the sides. The lense housings are not really designed to separate the two light sources so it appears that the ambers are always lit. As for the blinker not working when the lights are on, check to see of somehow a dual element bulb is if the spot for a single element. Give that a shot, though it also sonds like the socket and the contacts in it may be very corroded.

Actually, on the European cars, the buckets were divided. There were two separate light bulbs, and a metal divider that went in between. The US cars had the same bucket, but with only one light bulb and no metal divider. The bulb on the US cars was dual filament, instead of having two separate lights.

Rich Johnson sells a conversion kit.

Just remove the marble size light bulbs listed above. I think the size of your taillights will be reduced, but your brake lights will remain the same.
