Anyone heard of boxster tranny mated to aircooled 911 sixer?

Thanks Dave for a wonderful answer to my question. Those guys really are willing to pay for a final solution ($20K for a new tranny!!). Well I guess it's really neat and worth it in the end if you got the dough.

I think the price would be less, now. You can get an engine and trans for $5K if you shop around; the trans itself should be even less. Not to denigrate the hard work that went into the job, though. Now that we know it can be done (and even have a couple of pics as examples) it should be a lot easier to replicate.

...It's always easier to follow someone else's path than to forge a new path yourself...
