Seals in transmission rebuild kit
I'm in the middle of refreshing 1st / 2nd gear synchros. I ordered all of the hard parts I needed as well as the "transmission gasket"kit from our host. I figured that as long as I'm in there and I have the seals from the kit, I would go ahead and replace everything even it wasn't leaking yet.
I've done everthing accept the input shaft behind the throwout bearing. I'm looking at the one that's still in the tranny and it looks like it has a larger O.D. than the repalcement seal in the kit; the I.D. of the replacment seal fits the input shaft. The seal in the transmission has this on it: KACO DS 22.40.11 / 16 / 2 The replacement in the kit says: Elring 043.605, Repl O.E.# 113 311 113 A Is this a repalcement input shaft seal? Is it possible my transmission uses a different size?

hmmm, never heard of that one. They all use that seal so unless someone has bored out the tranny.....try it and see if it fits.
